Summer Artventures!

My awesome page   Who   Where   Art From Nature   Art Exploration   Wow!   Now what?

A site was created by the '09 program staff to share highlights of our summer. We are excited to record our experiences creating and developing the program and hope you will enjoy this website. Like ArtVentures, it is a collaborative experiment.

"Q: How is Artventures different?
1. More time is given to the children here
2. more outdoor time (art from nature)
3. techniques like pointilism were new and exciting for our children
4. excellent tie-ins to the museum"

Look what we found!

Just after being introduced to this new medium in the studio, Artventurers make an incredible discovery on the trail: a source of natural charcoal!

Wonder if it, too, can be used for sketching?

Color!

We feel it is important for children to have open-ended time and ready access to art materials.  This way, they can afford to experiment and try something new without worrying about “wasted” paint.
